HOTEL TUSKULUM LUKOV – a former aristocratic villa, today the home for You. Our hotel is unique not only in its appearance but also in its history. his small Tyrolean-style country house, set in a beautiful English park, was established by the aristocratic house of Seilern – Aspang who bought the estate of Lukov in 1724. In1868, Count František Seilern (1859-1919) inherited the estate. He defined the final appearance not only of his main residence – the chateau at Lešná which is now part of the most visited zoological gardens in the Czech Republic, but also “our country house” in Lukov. At that time it was certainly a place of peace, rest and cosiness for the aristocratic family…. The name – Tuskulum – in Latin the kindly home for everybody who visits it – is proof of how they named their new villa in Lukov. During the hotel development in 1990 we tried to follow up the interesting history and tradition which is attached to this villa and place. We preserved the historical appearance of the building and original English park. We have tried to establish a place full of peace, harmony, hospitality and kindness, in order that you feel a sense of homeliness during your travels.
