They are located in a beautiful region Šumava (the Bohemian forest), in a restful part of the village Hojsova Stráž (altitude 900 m) nearby towns Železná Ruda, Nýrsko and a downhill resort Špičák.

There are possibilities to relax by using a wide system of cycling, cross-country skiing and hiking trails and downhill facilities in the near surroundings during the whole year. The two biggest sports facilities - Špičák is only 7 km far and you can get there by car, bus (bus stop 200 m) or train (railway station 1,5 km) - the farther Bavorský Javor (Grosse Arber) 20 km. Smaller ones including optional night skiing are just by the cottage or next to it. There are several restaurants and shops directly in the village.
